What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) uses data-verified science to help individuals learn new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and work toward their goals. Therapists identify what behaviors are holding a person back, what skills they need help developing, and how their environment shapes their behavior.

Services Provided at Somerset ABA Clinics
ABA Therapy Services
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy helps individuals learn new skills through positive reinforcement. Under the direction of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), learners will work 1:1 with RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) to decrease challenging behavior and learn new functional skills. These services usually are typically provided within a clinic setting.
Behavior Support Services
Behavior Support Services are provided under the KY Medicaid Waivers, SCL, MPW, and ABI. This model is consultative in service delivery and focused on working with the clients team to assess challenging behaviors and develop strategies for intervention. The team and caregivers will be trained to implement strategies.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on helping individuals develop skills needed to participate in meaningful daily activities. Occupational Therapists address areas of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, school skills and social/play skills to help each person reach their highest level of independence.
Targeted Case Management
If you or your child needs extra support and you’re not sure where to turn, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Targeted Case Management (TCM) helps families navigate complex systems, connect with community resources, and create individualized plans for care.
Speech Language Pathologist Services
Speech Therapy can help individuals who struggle with communication, sound production, understanding language, and swallowing. Individuals will work with a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to address individual areas of concern. Speech therapy addresses concerns related to both speech production and understanding.
