What is a BCBA?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst is a therapist who provides services in Applied Behavioral Analysis. It is a masters level position, with additional certification required through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

What does a BCBA do? They work with individuals who display challenging behaviors to assess and examine said behaviors, and then create a behavior plan to help address them. Additionally, they are in charge of overseeing the implementation of behavior interventions, and training and monitoring RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians), as well as any other ABA practitioners.
