Applied Behavioral Advancements, LLC (ABA-LLC) is proud to announce that they have purchased a new clinic space. This expansion will allow the agency to expand their clinical services in Somerset. The agency has purchased the former Magic Monograms building at 110 Creek Terrace Somerset KY. ABA-LLC’s founder and CEO, Chris George, is delighted that the company will be able to increase its offerings in this new space. The administrative offices, as well as select clinic services, will remain at the agency’s downtown location at 105 College St.
What is ABA-LLC?
ABA-LLC provides compassionate care for individuals of all ages in need of behavioral health services. This includes children and adults on the Autism spectrum, individuals with brain injuries, and individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. The agency began in Somerset in 2007, and has since expanded throughout the state. ABA-LLC operates clinics in Louisville, Lexington, McCreary County, London, and of course: a large homebase in Somerset. With expert clinicians and state of the art facilities, ABA-LLC prides itself on offering a wide array of services. This includes Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, early intervention services, in-home behavior therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, supported employment, person-centered coaching, community access, personal assistance services, and more.

What does the new space mean for ABA-LLC?
Parents of clients and prospective clients should know that this new space marks an expansion, not a move. “Our clinic services have been extremely successful at our College St location. But, we also have a large waiting list” says George. “The Creek Terrace location adds 5,000 sq ft of clinic space to our current 3,500 sq ft. Expansion will allow us to over double the amount of children and families we currently serve.”
More families being served also means more opportunities for employment. “We have opportunities to work directly with kiddos in the clinic: Registered Behavior Technicians, Licensed Behavior Analysts, Licensed Associate Behavior Analysts.” says George,” We also have opportunities for Targeted Case Managers, who support our families by assisting them in accessing not only our services but services from other agencies and organizations.” ABA-LLC currently works with over 150 contractors throughout the state of Kentucky.
George also notes that the implementation of the new space will elevate the way ABA-LLC’s clinicians approach therapy. “Having two locations will allow us to use our College street location for our early learners and those with more significant behavioral challenges. As learners advance in their skills, they will transition to our Creek Terrace location.”
Learn More about the Magic Monograms Space
ABA-LLC is working with contractor Eric Sellers to transform the space from a monogram warehouse into a diverse clinic. “Mr. Woodson and his sons expertly built The Magic Monogram building in a wide open design with only a few walls already standing. This allowed us to carefully design the space for many different learning situations and distractions.” says George, “We have individual treatment rooms for ABA therapy, OT and Speech; a large communal space with varying dividing wall heights for individual work, a full size classroom, and a huge movement room.
“This property also provided a huge outdoor area, probably about the size of the building itself. We laid a huge concrete pad for tricycles, bikes, and basketball while leaving a large grassy area for soccer, football, croquet, etc…and a playground! The variety of spaces both inside and out will allow us to meet the needs of every unique learner…this space is definitely not one size fits all!”
George’s years of experience in the field informed the design of the new space. Over years in the public education setting, George wanted to find a way to prepare students for classrooms: “Having started my career as a classroom based special education teacher, and spending one day a week in public education classrooms during the school year, I fully understand all of the random variables that challenge our learners in a classroom setting. We will be able to technically design and shape classroom readiness skills in a focused, systematic way that will allow them success far beyond our clinic walls. I can’t wait to graduate our learners with a data-backed certificate that says they have acquired the skills to be successful in the public education setting. We’re honored to approach our services in a way that supports and benefits the greater community, our local school districts, and the amazing teachers and classroom aides.”
ABA: Having Fun, Saving the world
In everything the agency does, ABA-LLC is set apart from its competitors by its uniquely person-centered approach. The agency strives to provide services from a place of deep love for the population they serve. Their work exemplifies the belief that every individual has a right to live a fulfilling and independent life integrated within their communities. There is no objective to change a person, but rather to give them the tools they need to succeed. B.F. Skinner summarizes this vision in his quote: “I’m not trying to change people. All I want is to change the world in which they live.”
ABA-LLC is thrilled to continue to grow in their homebase of Somerset, Kentucky. They are grateful to be part of such an incredible community that has always believed in and backed the business. They cannot wait to see what this new space will bring to the community at large!
